Vikings Kitchen

 

For this commission I was approached and set the task of creating the brand for a brand new health food restaurant, Vikings Kitchen, previously located within DW Sports Gym in Canterbury. I was set the task of creating the logo, food and drink menus, posters, business cards, leaflets, staff uniforms, etc.

After having an initial meeting with the owner of the company, he gave me many ideas as to what it was he wanted the brand to represent. The name of the company came from a nickname the owner has been called over the years, the viking! He wanted the logo design to relate back to that, and incorporate both an illustration of a viking and also kitchen apparatus. With the logo design I took this in to consideration and created a design which portrays what the company offers very well. I went on to apply the logo design on to poster designs, food and drink menus, business cards, leaflets, staff uniforms, etc. The owner also wanted to keep the colour scheme simplistic, black on a white background and vice versa, white on a black background. As you can see from the imagery the branding works very well and replicated exactly what the owner of the company initially wanted.
